Fritz Leiber Comic @Unshelved.com

I'm not an aficionado of web comics, so, if reader Griffin Pelton hadn't pointed me toward this comic on library-related blog, Unshelved, I probably wouldn't have noticed it. That is, unless my librarian wife didn't point it out to me first. Anyway, enjoy!

  1. The Skullkickers comic certainly has a bit of Fafhrd and the Mouser about it, so it's quite a nice gesture for them to acknowledge it.

  2. If you haven't seen the Sword of Sorcery comics from the '70s, they had a fun run (albeit brief, alas): http://www.atomicavenue.com/atomic/titledetail.aspx?TitleID=15154.

  3. Thanks for the shout-out about our Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser comic on Unshelved. Greatly appreciated.

I've been a fan of the series for a long, long time and, as Kelvin pointed out, the Skullkickers series is heavily influenced by it.

Robin Laws, Game Designer extraordinaire, writes the Intro to our upcoming trade paperback collection and he does a great job at pulling together a bunch of the influences that populate our comic series.

  4. For a moment, I read the second last sentence as, "That is, unless my barbarian wife didn't point it out to me first."
